Clergy and Politics
Rules of living:
Love God with your whole mind, your whole heart, and your whole spirit.
Love your neighbor as you love yourself (Do love yourself!)
Hospitality is not optional.
Bad behavior is not acceptable
Accountability is essential.
Recently I have seen more and more members of the clergy meddle with politics.  It is my personal belief that member of the clergy should stick to things spiritual and stop trying to get laws regarding their teachings passed.  For one thing, any law that a member of the clergy is supporting on religious grounds may well be unconstitutional (in the U.S. and other countries that guarantee freedom of religion).
However, some have gone even further.  Numerous members of the clergy have stated that they will refuse communion to those in favor of allowing women the right to choose. (e.g. don't want laws passed making abortion unlawful).  One Bishop has just stated that he will refuse communion to any person who even votes for a candidate that is pro-choice.
This is not Christian!
This is not hospitable!
This is wrong!
This fails to accept The Christ Jesus into their lives.  Christ died once for all!  This means that every human now alive,  who ever lived, or ever will live is forgiven all their sins because The Christ Jesus took their sins on his shoulders and accepted the punishment.
The sins you have committed are forgiven!
The sins you are going to commit are forgiven!
All your sins are forgiven!

Acts 13:38-39
"Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.

Mark 3:28
I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Hebrews 8: 11-13
No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, `Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
