More than 30 years of Roe vs Wade
In 1972, Norma McCorvey a.k.a. Jane Roe did the right thing -- She got abortion legalized in the United States, saving the lives and health of tens of thousands of women and giving all women the right to choose.
Philemon 1:8
Therefore, although in Christ I [Paul] could be bold and order you to do what you ought to do, yet I appeal to you on the basis of love.
Philemon 1:14
But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that any favor you do will be spontaneous and not forced.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
The Lord could easily make us do his will, he is omnipotent.  Yet he does not.  The Lord has given humankind free will.  We have the God given right to choose our own path, to follow God or turn away from God and follow satan.  This is important, God is love, God wants us to love him, but love forced is not love.  Love is always freely given.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The Lord will forgive our sins.  He tells us what is a sin, tells us not to sin, but leaves the final choice to each of us.
1 John 1:10
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
In 1972, Norma McCorvey a.k.a. Jane Roe did the right thing -- She chose to place her child for adoption rather than terminate her pregnancy.  She gave herself and all women the right to choose, then made the right choice.
I wish I could end it here, unfortunately Norma McCorvey subsequently did the wrong thing, she began campaigning to take choice away from women.  She felt guilt and unrighteousness.  She began to blame herself for the choices of others.  I am sorry that she lost her focus.
It is wrong to terminate a pregnancy.  Abortion is wrong.  But...
God gave us choice, who are we to take it away.
Amen
